The weekend was crazy. I got up to work on Sat, went to Samuels game, oh so cold. He made four goals. It is fun to watch. I then went to Sam's to get the food for the tournament. Gay and i had a good time. So much food. I came home and went to work again. I spent the evening in and it felt so good.
The tournament was wonderful. The kids made $4500 for the boys in Aftrica. It was the lady that was on Oprah. Her name is Pam Cope, Touch a Life Ministries. Steve asked her to come and talk to the kids and they gave her a big check. Such a wonderful story. Our church gives one of our small groups 5% of the giving each week. The senior high got their money and decded to use their money to make more, to be able to give a greater amount. I was so proud of their idea. God really blessed their desires. If you want to go on line it is touchalifeministres.com Our lesson this am ws on "one" one person, one idea, it just takes one. What a great example of one person desiding that she could not let these boys stay in slavery. So good for me to look at my life.
I had a blast watching Mollie and Madison, Staphanie and Joanna play the boys. They had to play them the third game. You talk about a group of girls working so hard. They were super. Steph is just an all around good player and Joanna was a defender to the max, Mollie and Madeline gave their brothers heck.
Fred Sharon and Ashley come in tomorrow. I am glad becasue I don't get to go to Samuels game and it will be good to have family there. Mollie and I get to go to the shower for Ashley. I work like crazy. Everyone desided oh it's Easter this weekend. I'm not complaining.
I bought a pot of tulips today. I am ready to see Susie out in the yard and gardening and me laying multch. It is so strange how yoiu don't see neighbors in the winter.
I got to do a wonderful new lady. Her husband was diagnosed recently with Pancreatic cancer. She was so dear to get to talk to. I just can't get her off my heart. She has a 13 and 3 year old girls. Chemo, radiation and now a break. I remember like it was yesturday.
